Linda Welsh

Linda has 25 years of experience in the Human Services industry. She has a BS in political science from Dickinson College and a Juris doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of law. Linda is happily married to an amazing & supportive husband. She loves to travel and spend time at the beach. Summer is her favorite time of the year. Linda enjoys hosting family & friends at her swimming pool. She is a dedicated Green Bay Packers and Pitt football fan. Linda loves animals and currently has a cat named Monroe. Linda is a proud founding member of Always A Step Above Inc.

Robert Powell III

Rob P. has over two decades of experience in various Human Services fields. He graduated from York College with a bachelor's degree in behavioral science and a minor in sociology. Rob was born and raised in York County. He enjoyed participating in sports while growing up as a two-sport athlete. Rob was on the first York College basketball team to make the N.C.A.A. tournament and he was named the athlete of the year for track & field. Rob relishes the opportunity to help develop & assist teams to mesh well. He is honored to be a founding member in creating Always A Step Above Inc. and is excited to provide care that is Always A Step Above.

Robert J. Walker

Rob W. has nearly 30 years of experience in the Human Services field. In that time, he has served members of the intellectual & developmental disability community in multiple capacities, from direct care, to day supports, to administration and digital management. Rob is originally from Brooklyn, New York and he furthered his education in West Virginia before putting down roots in Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with friends & family, writing novels, traveling domestically & abroad, and exploring the latest developments in technology. Rob is a proud founding member of Always A Step Above Inc.

Lisa Ruth

Lisa has three decades of experience working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities. She also had experience as a program manager. Lisa excels at providing excellent care and developing a genuine rapport with individuals & support staff alike. Lisa is happily married with one son, two stepsons, one stepdaughter, and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her pets. Lisa is a proud founding member of Always A Step Above Inc.

Theresa Briggs

Theresa has several years of experience as a supervision in the Human Services field, including providing care for individuals with autism. She has more than two decades of experience in this field. Theresa is originally from Perth Amboy, New Jersey but grew up in York, Pennsylvania. She is married to her husband David. Theresa enjoys spending her days being a mom to three adult children. She likes spending time with her family, taking long car rides, and vacationing. Theresa also enjoys tending to her two dog, one cat, and six chickens. Theresa is a proud founding member of Always A Step Above Inc.

Jessica Mummert

Jess has experience as a supervisor in the Human Services field with over 20 years of experience. Her expertise encompasses providing supports in the areas of assisted living, mental health, intellectual & developmental disabilities. Jess has three daughters, one son, five grandsons, one granddaughter, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing in Florida, crocheting, cooking, tending to her house plants, and volunteering at her local fire company. Jess is a proud founding member of Always A Step Above Inc.

Dana Thompson

Dana Thompson has worked in the disability field for over 33 years. Her professional career has included the roles of Direct Support Professional, CPR/1st Aid Training Unit Director, Income Maintenance Caseworker, Regulations Coordinator and Policy Program Management. Her board experience includes the PA Governor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities, the PA Statewide Independent Living Council, the PA DCED Governor’s Housing Advisory Committee, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) Self Advocacy Committee, and the NACDD Diversity, Inclusion, Cultural and Linguistic Competency (DICLC) Committee. She has spent the last 13 years as a staff Project Officer for Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council. Dana is passionate about independent living, Person Directed Services (PDS), housing, disability accessibility and advocacy, and rights for all.

Julia Fultz

Julia has an MBA and a CPA (inactive). She is currently working in Information Technology (IT). Her degrees and her career have focused on Accounting, Finance and IT in the private, not-for-profit and government sectors.

Julia enjoys spending time with family (including pets) and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities including appreciating nature, gardening, kayaking, swimming, hiking and biking. She spends her indoor time homebrewing, reading and watching sports.

Mary Beiler

Mary is a certified occupational therapy assistant who works as a developmental therapist in early intervention. She is the mother of two children on the autism spectrum, and has a vested interest and passion for quality care of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Mary is a known local advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum, having given multiple presentations to educate students and professionals at local schools and universities, as well as helping families to identify autism in young children, guiding them to local resources and supporting them in their child's development.

Julie Korick

Julie is the current Chief Operations/Finance Officer at the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC). Her work experience includes 16 years in non-profit community health finance and served for four years as the CFO of Lancaster Health Centers prior to joining PACHC. She earned her MBA with a concentration in finance from York College of Pennsylvania. Julie serves on a few advisory boards including Always A Step Above, PA eHealth Advisory Committee, Medical Assistance Advisory Committee and CommonWealth Purchasing Group. She has been married to Paul for 29 years and are blessed to have one son, Ezra. Her family likes to be outdoors, likes to camp and likes sitting by the fire. She enjoys volunteering when possible and has done so with Junior Achievement, the Salvation Army and other organizations throughout the years.

Kellie Brandt

Kellie is a York transplant from Western Massachusetts. She moved to York in 2003 where she lives with her husband, four rescue dogs, and two rescue cats. Her two grown children live locally, and she is a proud Grammie to two beautiful smart little girls. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, fur babies and working with her hands through knitting, and various other fiber arts. Kellie graduated from Greenfield Community College in 1992 with a degree in nursing. Over the years, she held numerous positions, establishing a broad base of knowledge that ranges from teaching at a local secondary school, preparing students to earn their associate degree in the medical field, to working in a very busy Emergency Department. For a time, she worked with individuals living with intellectual disabilities. She recognizes and finds it of the utmost importance to be a sometimes loud voice, and strong advocate for those who have difficulty doing so for themselves. Kellie is a proud Board Member of AASA, and is excited to move forward in that role.

Judy Webb

Judy has been married to her wonderful husband Marc for 36 years and enjoys traveling around the US as well as Europe. She is very active with her family supporting their Great Nieces and Nephews in School and church activities. Judy has a passion for working and supporting people with disabilities and spent 34 years working for a non profit agency who supported people in the community in residential homes, Life Sharing and Community Supports. She has been working for the last seven years in a Cyber Charter School in the special education program. When not working, she enjoys volunteering at the local food pantry, spending time at a church working with young adults and youth, and spending time with her two Beagles, Odin and Deuteronomy. Judy also has a passion for helping people understand the fundamentals of Social Role Valorization in all aspects of my life. She is a strong believer that all people deserve to be respected and given dignity in their lives as well as being free to make their own decisions and doing things that all people have the freedom to do.
